Here is the 1898 green cotton summer suit I made, which I wore on Saturday:
GEDC0046

GEDC0033
This outfit was much easier to wear than the 1870 dress, I must say! (Not having a huge crinolette bustle helps with that, of course!) It's a weird, thick plain-weave cotton that wrinkles terribly if you so much as look at it, but I was never too hot in it despite having five layers of clothing on. (Chemise, corset, corset cover, blouse, and jacket. Luckily the blouse is the one I'd already made for my Doctor Who Victoria cosplay, or I'd have never got it all done in time!)

The hat was a lucky find: a plain old wavy-brimmed straw blank I found at a craft store and just trimmed with ribbons, feathers, and flowers. And because I'm a musical theatre nerd, I couldn't help singing 'Put on Your Sunday Clothes' from Hello Dolly! while I was doing it, lol.

More outfits to come later!
