Yeah there is something about losing someone from the Doctor Who family that feels personal. Both the characters and the people who play them start to feel like old friends after a time. Plus it's such a shock when it's unexpected. It's honestly a bit worrying how many classic who actresses have died of cancer only in their 60s- modern medicine still has a long way to go when it comes to effective cancer screening in women, it seems.
But I try to think of the positive things- it's the only thing you can do. There's still a few more of Deborah's Big Finish stories that I haven't listened to yet. Though I don't think I can quite yet, I look forward to hearing new adventures with Victoria one day.
And I keep on sewing! I'll definitely need all the good luck I can get with that, lol :)
