newmoonstarHad to go to the dentist last week, and found out that indeed I will have to have my wisdom teeth out. Joy. I know there's nothing I'd prefer to being conscious while they cut into my jawbone to extract them!

So that's going to be perfectly lovely. With my luck they'll pick just the day I'm going to see Stars On Ice to have it done. But I'd make them re-schedule. I will see Elena Berezhnaya & Anton Sikharulidze skate come hell or high water.
Speaking of skating, I am going to have to send some very strongly worded letters to somebody at ABC. WHOEVER decided it would be a good idea to pre-empt THE MIDDLE of THE BLOODY GRAND PRIX FINAL for a 'news' report about how they've hightened the terrorism alert scale or whatever it's called, should be locked in a cage with rabid wombats while being force-fed rancid shrimp.
It wasn't even a real news item! All they said was that it would be heightend for the holidays or something, and that they knew they were going to heighten it for a long time. So couldn't that wait until the five o'clock news? Was it really so important that they HAD to break into the middle of an important sporting event? They would never have interruppted the middle of a football game for something like that; men wouldn't stand for it! But because it's primarily women watching figure skating, it's okay to interrupt that? And it was right in the middle of Emanuel Sandhu's program. So I missed the end of that, and ALL of Evegeny Plushenko's skate. And apparently, Emanuel Sandhu beat Evegeny Plushenko. So I missed THAT? That is SO darn unfair! Emanuel Sandhu has got to be the best skater out there, if only he had consistent jumps, and apparently, he skated his whole program clean if he beat Plushenko, so I was robbed of the chance to see him do a really good program. I am SO mad! GRRRRR!
Anyway, that's been how things have been going so far. Not good. BUT, I actually sent off my Christmas cards early (YAY!) and I've found some really good new books at the library which I will have fun devouring over Christmas.
