Well lookie here! I'm actually updating! Wonder of wonders! Believe it or not, I haven't died, I've just been monstrously overwhelmed by packing and sorting and selling off junk in preparation for le big move. And it may well be a VERY big move, as we might be moving to either Oregon or Colorado, or staying in the the city we're in now, but we don't know, and aren't yet in a posistion to know for sure due to lots of annoying circumstances. And we only have until September 30th to find these things out, or we shall be in quite a pickle. (i.e. have no place to live at all. ARG.)

BUT, all that aside, I'm having a swimmingly splendid time having myself a good old-fashioned film festival at midnight with Laura Lee's DVD player.

Oh yeah, did I mention that in addition to packing up and moving our own stuff, we're also in charge of packing up and moving my mum's friend Laura Lee's house too?

Yeah.

This gives you an idea of the kind of "fun" my days have been made up of lately.

But at night after everyone else has gone to bed I'm free to watch every single period movie I can get my hands on. I've already gone through the library's entire stock of Sherlock Holmes films, Jeeves and Wooster films, Jane Austen films, and am almost done with all the Horatio Hornblower films too. I also got to watch Ever After in widescreen for the first time ever, and I'm still drooling over the prettyness, and wishing more than ever that I'd seen it in the theater at least once! Still, repeated viewings of Blackadder save me from becoming the least bit melancholic. ;-D

Well, melancholy does kick in a bit when I realize that because of all this moving crap, I haven't read a book or wrote anything or even left the house for a month or two. (Except to go to Laura Lee's house!)

But I'm trying to take it all in stride. If we actually find someplace to live before our current lease expires, and we make it there in one piece, I'll consider all the effort to have been worthwhile!

And I'm finally rid of Psycho!Kitty!!! A friend of Laura Lee's took it to her farm where it will plague me no more! That alone is reason to be of good cheer! ;-D
