Yeah, Northanger Abbey is a good read. I've only read three of them, but I think I could pretty safely say that any of Jane Austen's books are a definite good time. My favorite is Persuasion though! I think if I took that quiz I'd probably get Anne Elliot. *gazes fondly at Anne icon*
Northanger Abbey I find is a different experience to read because there wasn't a movie made of it for me to see first. I knew it was supposed to be a satire on the Gothic novels popular at the time, but that's about it. I actually think that watching the movies are a complimentary experience to reading the books, and that seeing the movie and knowing what happens beforehand actually makes reading the books a richer experience. Likewise for reading the book and then watching the movie again; I liked the movie of Persuasion even more after I'd read the book! :)
