Feeling decadent after spending the other day at Borders eating cheesecake and buying history books. In my defense, it was way too hot at home without an air conditioner, and we had to go somewhere. ;-D

Watched Juana la Loca recently. A pretty pointless movie story-wise, but I was only watching it for the costumes anyway. The costumes were fabulous. They do so few movies set during the early Renaissance! Mostly when they do Renaissance movies, they're all Queen Elizabeth I biopics. Ever After, Dangerous Beauty, and Juana la Loca are the only other ones I can recall.

Thanks be to heaven we finally got an air conditioner put in. I was going to melt. You just feel like a slug when it's that hot, but now that it's cooler I'm all peppy and ready to get started with more sewing and writing. Holy crap do I need to start writing again! I was waiting until we got the hallway cleared out so that I could turn it into my office, but that's never going to happen, so I may as well bite the bullet and get to it. Candida and Oliver need to continue their adventures. They've been waiting a darn long time themselves. ;-D
