It's been about a month and I still haven't started on a new sewing project; I try to tell myself it's because I just got some books with new patterns in them, and I've been spending all my time tracing those, but I still feel a bit sheepish. And restless. I need to sew!!!
I've also been trying to write. 'Trying' being the operative word here. I cannot get past this one stupid chapter I've been trying to re-write for ages. And it's still not working! I have a feeling I'll be re-writing it forever. UGH.
I must take solace in the fact that the Disney channel has finally seen fit to provide us with new episodes of Kim Possible. I missed it so!!! Did I mention I have a Rufus plushie that sits on top of my computer?
But unfortunately, they've doubled the price of our cable, and in about a month I may never see Kim Possible again. *WEEPS*
Because I'm bored, I'm going to list the top ten things I'll miss when we get rid of our cable:
1. BBC America. What is an Anglophile like me to do without it?
2. VH1 and VH1 Classic. Turning on music videos while I sew helps me work faster! Really! It does!
3. The Biography Channel. Because the have Poirot marathons every Sunday. 'Nuff said.
4. The Disney Channel. Two words for you: KIM POSSIBLE!!!!!
5. History International & the History Channel. Because I'm a History Geek!
6. TCM. All my favorite classic movies fully restored. They don't even MAKE DVDs of Gigi or An American in Paris with restored picture quality! For crying out loud!
7. The various channels that re-run Star Trek: The Next Generation. I don't consider myself part of the Star trek fandom in any way, but I grew up with the show so it's more like comfort TV now. It's so weird to watch it again and go "wow, this episode is still really good!" or, "wow, this episode was actually crap all along!"
8. The Sci-Fi Channel. I'd have been glad to see this channel go but for Doctor Who. It's not such a big deal now that Rose is gone, but still, I'd have liked to have given the new season a go.
9. HBO. But only because of Extras. Everything else on HBO is total worthless crap.
10. The N. Because of O'Grady. Not that it's ever on; why doesn't that channel seem to have a regular schedule anymore? Or maybe I just don't pay attention since they stopped re-running Daria.
