Jan. 18th, 2008 04:59 pmI think I'm going to try to read Jane Eyre again. Yes, I know, I always thought it was stupid, but the new adaptation grows on me with each viewing, and maybe it's worth a second look. At the very least, it's made me desperately want an 1840's dress, and I've never had a particular interest in 1840's clothes before, so there's gotta be something in it!
1840's dresses will have to wait however, since I finally dug out my striped fabric to make my medieval dress. Hopefully I can lay it out and even cut it out today or tomorrow. I'd really like to have it out of the way so that I can focus on creating a severely awesome Elizabethan outfit for Bristol!

Date: 2008-01-22 11:23 pm (UTC)The new adaptation of Jane Eyre, by the by, was quite awesome once I got over my 'eww, it's Jane Eyre' mindset. I think the big thing that made a difference is that Jane and Rochester were actually likeable characters, an asset that every other adaptation I've ever seen simply didn't have!
