My apologies to my snail mail buddies for not sending any Halloween postcards this year! I've been insanely busy and completely forgot. But I'll strike again with seriously adorable Christmas cards when the holidays arrive, I promise. :)

I'm still upset by all this car business, but at this point, there's no use worrying, because there's nothing I can do about it. So, I'll try to hope for the best and worry about stuff I can do something about, like NaNoWriMo. I'm actually doing it! I've written seven pages thus far! Not much, but it's a start!

I'm actually not finding it too horrible, because as long as I have that deadline, I don't worry about it. Usually I re-read and edit and just make myself crazy, but now I keep telling myself "It's for NaNo! It doesn't matter if it's good, as long as it's done in one month!" Which helps, a lot! I still agonize over whether things are historically correct, last night I was having a freakout over whether my heroine was too poor to travel by coach, should I have had her take a waggon instead, etc. But finally I told myself it didn't matter, I could worry about stuff like that after I finished it. So actually having to write fast and not worry about it being up to some brilliant standard has been really great. I just hope I can finish it in time! *fingers crossed*
