May. 6th, 2003 07:35 pmIn the past week my mother has baked brownies, lemon cake, lemon merangue pie, and bought three packages of fudge striped cookies. Not to mention that we've got a package of wild berry pull n' peel twizzlers which I am addicted to. (Vanilla Coke and wild berry pull n' peel twizzlers is a meal something akin to the ambrosia of the gods, by the way!) I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think there is such a thing as too much dessert. I've been on a permanent sugar high for like a week. This is when you know your life is really strange, when your mother has to scream and yell at you to MAKE you eat the pie! ;-D
But maybe all the sugar has been good, because in the past few weeks I have gotten so much writing done. I wrote more on 'the French story', and if I keep going at the same rate, I may actually FINISH it within the year. (Shock of shocks!) And actually, I'm not bored with it anymore, since I'm getting further into it. The beginnings of stories when you're setting things up tend to be tedious, but once I get past that, it's actually kind of exciting, delving into the characters and the plot and everyting. It's only my second actual novel, so I haven't really had much chance at that sort of thing before. I've started dozens that never worked out though. Taking up space on my computer. Grr. I'd like to print them out so I can just delete them, but of course, the printer is buried beneath mountains of junk so that it can't be used without a massive excavation effort. *sigh*
But still, I'm SO happy with actually getting some writing done! Huzzah! ;-D
