newmoonstarHas anybody ever read "Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging"? I just did, and it's absolutely hilarious! I can't believe it took me this long to read it! When it first came out, I saw it and I was like "I can't believe that thongs and snogging are the only things they think teenagers should think about!" and I stormed off indignantly to browse through the 'classics'. Even just a year or two ago I was so serious that you couldn't drag me to "Josie and the Pussycats"; my mom tried to get me to go, but I refused, and in fact I stayed home and watched "Schindler's List", because it was appropriately 'intellectual' and 'educational' for MOI. (Oy.) I believe I made elitist snobbery into an art form.
I've definitley lightened up since then, and have discovered that one can read books and watch movies that are just for fun. Consequently, I've heard that there are three sequels to "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging", which I have decided to hunt down and read. Whee! But maybe not until I finish reading "The Pianist". Yes, I know, it doesn't get more serious than that, but old habits die hard!
Off I go to hopefully get some more writing done, and to dance for joy because Adrien Brody is hosting "Saturday Night Live" this weekend. Whee!
