(I shouted 'Grandfather!' when I saw him, and he gave me a funny look before he realized I was Susan, lol. Unfortunately this blurry pic was the only one I got with him!)

Thanks! It was actually the first cosplay I ever put together, so I'm pretty proud of it. :)

I sort of want to dress like Susan all of the time, like a semi beatnik.

He has an aptly supercilious expression. Though what I liked most about the First Doctor was how grumpy he could be!

Heehee yeah, Susan does look a bit beatnik-ish when you cosplay her in greyscale! But the original shirt was apparently black & orange, & I couldn't find any black & orange striped shirts anywhere, so I went with the black & grey instead. (And still had to modify it myself to make it look like hers.)

This was the first con I went to actually, and I had an absolute blast. I hope I can keep going back every year now, I had a wonderful time last year & the year before. I'm rather jealous of people who go to more than one con per year- how do they do it?! I'm still exhausted from going to one! :P

We used to have a con up here (in Northern California) but it moved! Now they are all in SoCal. It's rather unfair.
Yes. Some folks do it year round and make half a dozen costumes! I had a friend like that but she stopped posting on LJ. :)
