ladybugs, Ballykissangel, and Victorian interior decoration

We are overrun by ladybugs in this new house. Which I suppose is lucky, because if you have to be overrun by some sort of insect, at least it's something nice like ladybugs.

I'm now officially addicted to Ballykissangel. I never watched it during it's original run, and never had any interest in doing so, but now the local PBS station is re-running it. I started watching it because we don't have the cable hooked up yet, and it's the only decent thing on Saturday nights, and now I'm addicted. Has anyone noticed that it's basically Northern Exposure in Ireland? I wonder, which show came first?

I really need to get my mum to help me start cleaning and unpacking so I can start my Victorian interior decoration spree. Now that we live in a Victorian house, I will not be stopped. I'm armed with every single book in the Painted Ladies series, my longtime Victorian style bible, and I'm absolutely itching to get started. Not being able to paper the walls is of course a considerable drawback, but we couldn't afford the kind of wallpaper I have imagined anyway! Besides, it forces me to be more creative in other ways. Mwahahaha! ;-D
