I'm still stuffed from Thanksgiving. If I never see another turkey again it will be too soon.
I slept through the after-Thanksgiving sales, but my Mum braved them, and I noticed that she returned with my much-requested DVD player. Christmas shall be merry indeed this year! Now I must somehow scrounge up the money for The Complete Jeeves & Wooster, Ever After, Phantom of the Opera, and the Granada Adventures of Sherlock Holmes on DVD and my life will be complete. Goodness knows no one will get them for me for Christmas; heaven forbid anyone buy me a gift I actually WANT. Can you believe I had to strike a deal with my mother that she wouldn't have to pay me back the $45 she owes me in order for her to agree to get me a DVD player for Christmas? If it weren't true, it would actually be funny. *twitch*
I have this free movie ticket thing, and I'm trying to decide if I should use it to go see Pride and Prejudice or Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I'm leaning toward P&P, since HP is a big movie that'll probably go to the second run theater, wheras P&P probably won't. Sigh. Being econmical is icky.
And having friends that don't call or email about whether they're coming to visit or not is doubly icky. My friend Abby and I talked about her coming up this weekend, but I haven't heard from her in a month, despite my emails. And she hasn't given me her phone number. I just hope she doesn't decide to show up on my doorstep tonight without any notice. I mean, I'd love to see her, we haven't been able to in years, but sheesh, CALL or something! It'd be nice to know one way or another! *twitch twitch twitch*
