I can't believe The Great Mouse Detective was on the Disney channel and I totally missed it. I have such affection for this movie on several different levels.

Thank heaven, I finally got some sewing done, and now I'm almost finished with the little 1920's doll dress. Attaching the sleeves was just hell, I had to tear them out and re-attach them at least six times before I got it right. First they're too far apart, then the stitching is ugly, then they're not even, etc, etc. But they're fine now at least, and all I have to do is attach the fringe to the hem, unless I want to sew down the front of the overlay, but I don't know if I do. If I do, I should do it before I attach the fringe, so basically me dithering about that is the only thing keeping it from being finished!

I actually did some writing too, and finished re-writing that chapter that's been staring me in the face for so long. It felt great to finally get over it, and I actually started to have fun once I moved past that, which was a relief. But I can't really write any more at the moment, because my computer is in my room, and my room is too cold to be in right now, since my radiator doesn't work. And it's twenty below outside. You get the picture.

I'm a bit saddened today because I just heard that Ian Richardson died. I suppose he was old and all, but still, he was one of those wonderful British actors that I admire so much because they're always good in everything they're in. And he played Sherlock Holmes! And did it well despite the fact that the adaptations he was in reminded me more of Scooby-Doo than Sherlock Holmes! That's saying something! I feel the need to go re-watch Murder Rooms now; I think he was even better as Bell than he was as Holmes, and it's a real favorite of mine.
