Feb. 14th, 2007 07:47 pmHappy Valentine's Day all! Even if you dislike all the romantic stuff, it's still a good excuse to eat candy! Which is really the main value in any holiday, no?
Finished the 1920's doll dress! Hurray! It's so cute, I can't even believe it. Moreover, it's my first 'original design', where I wasn't using a pattern or even copying a picture, but just put the whole thing together out of seven rectangular little swatches I had lying around. And it looks like a real dress! If I had a camera that worked, this entry would be plastered with pictures of it, I'm so insanely proud of it. One can't rest on one's laurels though, and I'm thinking my next doll dress will be either a robe a la francais or an 1890's dress. I have some nice red silk in mind for the robe, but I'm afraid to use it, it's so pretty!
