Finished the little 1850's calico prairie doll dress I'd been working on. It turned out okay. It's nothing fancy, but I wasn't going for that; I had this old doll dress that my dolls used to wear when I was a kid, but looking at it now I realize it was hideous. Rather than throw it out, I decided to remake it into something historical so that I could still keep a part of it and have it be useful. So, mission accomplished. :) One thing I will say though, it was for a Stacie doll, which is the smallest doll I'm willing to make clothes for, and working on that small of a scale is truly heinous. I've been in a tizzy about making a full-scale dress for myself, but after the nightmare of tinyness this was, I have a feeling a human sized dress with human sized armholes and human sized seams will be sweet breezy bliss!

And I'm thinking of putting up mosquito netting around my bed to keep out bats. Hopefully that'll work. They have a tendency to appear in my room, and I don't want to wake up one day and find a bat in bed with me. And they come frequently enough that they now have a 'usual spot' where they like to perch in my hallway. How pathetic is that? And yet when we call to complain, the management wonders why we see this as a problem. WTF??? Perhaps they expect us to lovingly adopt them as pets? Nothing says love like a rabid bat, after all. It's all too absurd. So away I go to drown my vexation in a new sewing project and another episode of Campion.
