Sep. 21st, 2007 05:50 pmNever watch The Prince and the Showgirl right before you go to bed if you're a costumer. Your mind will be spinning with ideas for 1911 evening gowns and you'll never get to sleep because you'll have to get up and sketch all night. ;-D
I think I've decided not to make the medieval dress. *sigh* It's just too much to try to start and finish a new project in a week when the house is a wreck and there's nowhere to work, with my mum whining over my shoulder and poking her nose into eveything. Maybe next year? (Why do I feel it'll be the same story next year too? Meh.)
Anyway, the doll clothes are coming along pretty well at least. Made a couple new patterns which look promising.
I found a spider in my bed the other day. And if you hate spiders more than anything else in the world, like I do, that's supremely not fun, to put it mildly. I was inclined to burn my sheets, but sense prevailed and I settled for simply washing them. *shudder*
Went to the Willy Street Fair last weekend. Always good fun. The East African restaraunt always has a cart there, and every year I swear I'll try it cause it smells so awesome, but I always end up having eaten beforehand or something! I'd love to live around Williamson street, it's got such a great artsy/hippie vibe. Like San Francisco without the hills! I'd love to go to San Francisco one day though, if only to gape at all the pretty Victorian Painted Ladies. :)
