I keep telling myself to stay home and do some sewing, but it's the end of summer, and I don't want to be stuck inside yet! So, I shopped. I only bought two books and four small items at the fabric store, but I still feel guilty, because I found lots of pretty things that I'll probably end up buying at some point! Like calendars: I'm torn between ZoZo the Magic Queen, with it's pretty 19th century ephemera, and Barbie, with it's chic BFMC fashion illustrations.
And then, at one of the local indie bookstores, I found out that The Unemployed Philosopher's Guild not only makes awesome stationary, but even more awesome gift items. So, when I saw the Oscar Wilde finger puppet/refridgerater magnet, I had to have him. But then I went to their website and found that they also had one of Sherlock Holmes. You can imagine my dilemma! I suppose I could get them both, and my fridge would be like Victorian Aesthete Clubhouse. Teehee. Or I could save up for the musical Mozart plushie; or the Carmen finger puppet theater set, or the Sisyphus alarm clock. They just have so much fun stuff to waste your money on! Come on, you know you need a cuddly plush Machiavelli doll! Or a Shiva puppet in a lovely shade of blue! Who doesn't? ;-D
