Pet Peeves and Art History Squeeage

Okay, here I am getting a pet peeve rant out of the way right off the bat:
You know, it never ceases to amaze me that even after I explain to people that I want be called by my middle name instead of my first name, they still call me by my first name. Half the time they don't even pronounce my first name correctly either. Oy. And it's really annoying to have to correct people every time you go in for an appointment. If it's someone who's meeting you for the first time it's one thing, but if they see you every week and still they do it, that's a little excessive. Oy oy oy.
On a non-ranting note, I just found this really great website that has galleries and bios for just about every artist you can possibly imagine, and the art history geek in me is going absolutely insane with glee. I've been searching the library in vain for books on some of these less famous artists, and here they all are on one website. It'll take me ages to get through it all; I'll have even less time for LJ than usual, but oh, the shinyness... *drools*
*is mystically called forth to peruse the beauties of Tissot, Tintoretto, Caillebotte, van Eyck, and a host of other squee-worthy artists*
