Dec. 27th, 2002 04:48 pmSo glad to hear that everybody had a good Christmas. And very glad to know that my Christmas cards arrived BEFORE Christmas! I was so worried they wouldn't. Kelly likes her card! WHEE!
Oh, what loffly presents I got this year! The Harry Potter dolls were, needless to say, my favorites. They are literally the cutest things I've ever seen. I was sitting on the floor examining their little accesories like a giddy five year old. The little Hedwig with flapping wings is THE best!
And, because I collect Barbie dolls (nobody laugh at that!) I got pretty much all Barbie dolls. The Princess of China and Princess of Egypt dolls are the most exquisite things I've ever seen. They're from my fave series of dolls. I got all the rest of them already and these were the ones I needed. I'm in heaven, needless to say. ;-D
So much more to say, but no more time today. Will ramble more later. :-D

Date: 2002-12-28 02:25 pm (UTC)I just hope you like it; the metallic pen I was using on it didn't work so well, and it looked kind of bad, so I tried to spruce it up with a little ornamentation at the corners. And I don't know if it helped any, because my drawing skills are a little rusty! But it's the thought that counts, right? ;-D
And I do tend to be a bit defensive about my doll collecting, because my RL friends are always telling me how 'childish' it is. Sometimes I just want to tell them: "Oh, and plastering posters of the Backstreet Boys and Christina Agulaira all over YOUR room is SO mature!" None of them have any taste. I constantly have to tell myself to calm down, they're only stupid high-school girls, it's just a phase, they'll grow out of it. Holy moly, at least I HOPE they'll grow out of it! ;-D

Date: 2002-12-28 03:26 pm (UTC)All these new "teen idols" are really irritating me. I think I was kinda into them when I was in high school, but I grew out of it fast. If I own any CDs by current teen idols, it's not because I'm obsessed with a person, but because I like the music.
But all the people in high school who love the new pop idols... they're not very nice to those who don't care for them. I was always an outcaste in high school for random things. :( And personally, I've heard some people claim Christian Agulaira as a porn star due to some really bad video she did. She even LOOKS bad. *shakes head* I can't believe these people are dictating future kids' tastes and lives with their own decisions. Something about that kinda bugs me.
