Oct. 26th, 2005 06:44 pmI thought that once we were moved in things would settle down and I'd have time to update regularly again. Silly me!
But anyway, I'm updating now! I won't even go into my life of late, since it's mostly busy and boring. My birthday was yesterday though, I guess that's noteworthy, but it was also busy and boring, so I'm taking today as a remedial birthday and I'm looking forward to making a cake tonight and opening up all those presents I didn't even have time to look at yesterday. ;-D
I watched Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Silk Stocking on Sunday night, or as it should more properly be called, Rupert Everett and the Case of the Silk Stocking. What can I say? It was SO wrong on SO many levels. The writing, the performances, everything. Just... ugh. Don't get me started.
I did, however, have an enjoyable time watching a movie where Rupert Everett was appropriately cast, An Ideal Husband, the other day. Lord Goring, yes. Sherlock Holmes, no.
Oh shoot. I'm being kicked off the computer. At least it keeps me from ranting about how awful the Case of the Silk Stocking was!

Date: 2005-10-31 09:07 pm (UTC)Trust me, you didn't miss much! I love Rupert Everett, but he's just not right for the part of Sherlock Holmes. And whoever wrote the screenplay was obviously trying too hard to make it modern and edgy. It wasn't. It felt more like an episode of CSI in Victorian clothes than a real Sherlock Holmes adventure! But that's what happens when these movie makers stray from the books!
BTW, I love your icon! Tissot rocks my socks! ;-D
