Talk about falling off the face of the earth! Look how long it's been since my last entry! But now the Pink Ink Princess returns! *mwahahaha*

Okay, I'm insane, you can ignore that.

I'm just really tired. Have been going to bed at abominably late hours lately because I've been rather sick this past week. It seems all I do is sneeze. I've basically been sitting on the couch watching TV and reading. Which is why I haven't been online in SO very long. Just too much work to drag myself off the couch. But I'm better now. And I missed talking to you guys for so long! You have no idea how insane you get staying home with no one but your mother to talk to for a whole week. Needless to say, there comes a point when it becomes something like torture. But at least I got a doll dress out of it. Sewing projects are our way of mother/daughter bonding. And this time we made a school dress for my Felicty American Girl doll. It's the cutest thing ever.

Yes, I still like American Girl dolls. I've got three of them. Most of the time they sit in a closed cabinet in my bedroom, but it's fun to take them out every once in a while and make clothes for them and stuff. I really love making historical clothes for my dolls. I dress vicariously through them, I guess you could say, because I've made these gorgeous circa 1910 traveling suits and 1900's at home gowns for them based on period dresses that I love from some of the books I have. I want to make an Erte inspired coat for one of them next. I love Erte. Can I just say that Dover Publications is a godsend?

Last summer Barnes & Noble had a huge sale on all their Dover books, and I bought practically every one of their fashion books and paper dolls. Who doesn't love Tom Tierney's paper dolls? But the books of Art Nouveau design and ornament are really the most useful, since I use them for inspiration for the Victorian greeting cards I like to make. I haven't made one in a long time, because I couldn't come up with anything as good as the one I made for Mum a few years back for Valentines Day, but after looking through the Art Nouveau book I have a really good idea for one. But I still think the old Valentine's Day one is the best thing I've ever done. Mum wasn't expecting anything, and she cried when I gave it to her. *sniff* I'm getting all nostalgic now!

I suppose I ought to stop boring people with pointless chatter. But I feel chattery. But of course, something would be wrong with me if I didn't feel chattery. ;-D

Say, is anyone else as bothered by all the rumors and things flying around about the casting of "Prisoner of Azkaban" as I am? I mean, Gary Oldman as Sirius? They've got to be kidding. I just can't see it. Of course, I'm even more worried about who they'll cast as Lupin. I've racked my brain trying to think of a British actor, or any actor, that I could see in the role, and I can't come up with a single one. I'm with Sherrie' in hoping that they'll cast an unknown. A very handsome unknown. If he's not attractive I'll have a fit. I'm so nervous about the casting of this movie! If they don't get everything EXACTLY right I won't be able to enjoy it. Of course, this could all be solved if the producers just let ME cast the movie! I'd bring all you girls along, and I'm sure that between us we could assemble a pretty good cast! What do you say? ;-D

Are you kidding? American Girls rock! I have three as well--Felicity, Kirsten, and Kit. Yes, I begged for Kit for my 16 birthday last year. Felicity's pretty beat up now; I've had her since third grade. Kirsten doesn't look too bad; I got her right after Felicity. They're both tucked away under my parents' bed. And Kit's on display in my room--typewriter and all!
