Still nothing interesting happening. And I'm perfectly okay with that. Today I watched "Emma" and drooled over the costumes, and bought some fabric for a costume for next year's renaissance faire. I have also started making plans to make a Harry Potter tarot deck. I've got most of the Major Arcana figured out, and it's quite amusing to me so far. Yes, I have nothing better to do. Slow day.

I wish I understood anime so that I could understand what everyone is talking about half the time. But then I suppose no one knows what I'm talking about when I rant about figure skating, so I guess we're even!

Off I go to hopefully get some writing done, but it's doubtful I actually will. *sigh* Boredom, boredom, boredom...

Personally, I agree 100% with your idea about avoiding idiot people to study what you love. That's what I do most of the time. I only venture into the world of 'friends' (HN.) when I'm forced to, i.e. uni. Remember, these people are not our friends. We're waiting for our true friends to show (and/or we somehow move close together, eh? ^_^)

Second, YES! HP TAROT DECK! There is one (rather, someone was making one), but it was lame. I have a feeling you'll do MUCH better. I'm making an Escaflowne tarot deck.

Which leads me to third: anime. Heh. Poor Miranda. I guess I forget that not everyone 'gets it'. I didn't until...October 3rd, I think. So just goes to show how darn addictive it is. I actually got into it via the HP world. Their fan bases overlap a lot. I think you'd enjoy some of it, but like American TV 94% is crap. You have to wade through the weird to get to the good. If I can get my dvd player to record video (it's a dual hookup) I'll send you some tapes of Escaflowne. It was my first, and still my favorite. It's got action, romance, love triangles, a GORGEOUS score, spirituality, symbolism, fantasy, castles, kingdoms, wit, the cutest little guy named Van (I just adore Van), tarot, dreams (Kosma would fit in the Esca world perfectly), plot twists galore, and great characters. You have to be open-minded, but I know you are. Now, to figure out the hookups...

Fourth: Figure skating rocks! I don't watch it much (time time time), but I still think it's great.

Fifth: Which version of Emma? The Ewan version? *hopeful look*

Sixth: Costumes! I wish I had time to sew something. *sighs* I can't wait to see pictures of it!

The Lovin' Spoonful!!! AHHH! I love old rock groups. Such great music!!

Oh no... I forget sometimes that anime is hard to grasp. I should remember, since it was kind of weird for me at first. Kelly's right - a lot of anime is... not good. Meaning, it's stupid, boring, or crap. She does have a point about Escaflowne though. I think you'd love it too. The romance, knights, another world, and all of that is really great. I patterned Gemini Curse a bit after Escaflowne. :) Another one you might like is Rurouni Kenshin, which is very historically based. I wish I could tape some for you... but Kelly got my Rurouni Kenshin tape. *wince*
