There's a Medieval and Renaissance costuming symposium in town this month, and the deadline to pre-register is the 10th, but I don't know if I should go because there are only a few classes that looked useful, and they didn't list times for any of them, and one doesn't want shell out the money for it if the classes I want are too early, or all at the same time, or already full. Further investigation is called for.
I may just possibly be within reach at last of decorating my room in the Victorian Turkish divan style that I've always wanted. I showed my mum the pictures from a magazine of the house in San Francisco that I'd been inspired by, and since she just got new stuff to redecorate her room with, she's finally going to let me have the paisley duvet cover, and she's willing to give me all the Indian sari fabric we bought for costuming and let me use it for pillows and curtains and things. Mwahaha! At last! I always said if I ever moved to a Victorian house I would do it, and by golly, I live in a Victorian house now, so I'm darn well going to seize the opportunity!
I haven't had any time to write or sew at all lately. And I'm so close to finishing the 1869 doll dress! I think I'll have to make a point to do it tonight.
But there are still the two more Wimsey short stories in Hangman's Holiday and Murder Must Advertise waiting for me on my nightstand.
Damn it. Sewing doesn't stand a chance. *evil grin*
