Went to the Renaissance Faire after all. I brought my costume, but I ended up wearing my regular clothes the whole day because it was hot and I was sick. There was a joust (with lots of ducking to avoid flying shards of broken lance) and a belly dancer who was really good (she gives classes at the local YMCA, should I take up belly dancing?) and a band who played Celtic music, they were young and adorable and played all night, although everybody seemed to be getting tired by the end, and they threw propriety to the wind and capped the show off with "Freebird". Too funny. Nice day to be outside, anyway, and I even threw off my sandals once and waded into the lake, which was awesome, because you really can't do that in the lakes here in town without getting some kind of disease!
Finished Thrones, Dominations. It's really officially the end now. *sniffle* I'll have to find something new to read in the way of fiction. I was thinking of Agatha Christie, but since I've been doing a mystery series for the past year, I'm now thinking maybe I should go back to L.M. Montgomery.
I feel like sewing. Maybe it's because it's summer. I always feel energized to take on the world and accomplish anything when it's sunny and warm. Like my favorite T-shirt says: "It's a sunny day and revolution is in the air." ;-D
