Aug. 8th, 2007 09:16 pmAm so jealous of everyone who went to Costume College, it always looks so awesome. And all the chemise dresses people did this year! Too cute! Someday I have SO got to go.
I've almost finished Harry Potter 7. I'd forgot how addictive those books are. Once you start, you simply cannot stop. At least this is the last one. I think my eyes have been singlehandedly ruined by the continuous hours of reading seven HP books have compelled me to do over the years.
You know what would be the most awesome job ever? Designing Barbie clothes for Mattel. Sometimes when I look at some of their dolls I think: "This is terrible! Who designed this? Even I could do better than that!" And the more I think about it, the more I think, "Actually, I could do that!" I do it for fun anyway, can you imagine getting paid? Of course, my tastes tend to run toward obscure historical stuff, but I could branch out if necessary. If only to save the world from more Barbie dolls with too much glittery eyeshadow! ;-D
I finally have a new CD player. Hallelujah, we are saved. :D

Date: 2007-08-10 01:32 am (UTC)I know, isn't it funny when it occurs to you that there has to be a person somewhere doing a job to design the things we buy? When I first heard about some of Mattel's doll designers, it suddenly dawned on me: "Holy moly! Somebody actually creates these dolls! For a career!" So cool. But they all seem to come from the world of contemporary fashion design, which I would never want to go to school for; it's too boring compared to historical costuming!
