newmoonstar1940's doll dress being very troublesome. Will have to re-do bodice. Oy. Why, WHY do I ever trust commercial patterns? Just because one worked out once, I naievely believed that I would have the same luck again. Foolish girl that I clearly am!
My love for Raffles grows daily. It's made of awesome. But of course, the local library doesn't have the other seven episodes, so I'm going to have to find them somewhere and buy them. I'm that desperate. Did I mention that Raffles is made of awesome? ;-D
I think I might do confetti cake for my b-day. With lots of frosting. Which is weird, since I always used to hate that kind of stuff as a kid. I hated frosting, and I always wanted lemon cake or carrot cake or something bizarre. Perhaps I'm finally learning how to be a child. Although considering I'm turning 21, I don't think it will do me quite as much good now. When I was twelve, I was reading War and Peace and writing papers about the Russian Revolution for FUN. OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL. And my friends looked at me like I was from Mars when I tried to talk politics with them. And now, quite honestly, yes, I still do all that, but I really wouldn't mind going out every once and a while and having water-balloon fights with them or playing tag or going to haunted houses like they used to ask me to do. Back then I was too serious for all that, but let me tell you, if I had it to do over again, I think I would have done more 'kid' things. Now that the opportunities are gone, I really miss it. But at least there's still confetti cake. ;-D
