Dec. 19th, 2007 07:40 pmOne of my favorite things about Christmas are the little Rankin-Bass claymation Christmas specials. They're the only Christmas shows I can stand to watch besides Christmas in Connecticut; I even sing along to the songs sometimes. They're just so sweet and cheerful, and the stop-motion animation is much more visually interesting than all the CGI kids have to watch these days. There's something so much more magical about something that's hand made, you know?
Recieved a Christmas card from
realtach. So pretty. It made my day. :)
Sent out my own Christmas cards finally, only I ended up sending little postcards instead of the new cards I bought, because I just realized the package said 'non-mailable envelopes'! Isn't that the way? At least I still had the postcards sitting around, they're also Victorian (what else would I have?) and very cute.
Been listening to Anonymous 4 a lot. So beautiful, it honestly brings a tear to your eye. It would be so much fun to sing like that, those songs, where it's all about the voice and the sound, so clear and uncluttered. But it must take a lot of training, and alas, I'm only a show-tune girl! ;-D
