Today on the good side: I bought the cast album of Jane Eyre: the Musical new for only $6. Hurray!
On the bad side: Two books I ordered from BetterWorld.com over a month ago finally came, in terrible condition. They were new books, not used, but they were still filthy and banged up and the covers and pages were all bent. Oy. And I don't understand it, since everything else I've ordered from them came on time in good condition. What the heck, you know?
On the good side: I had some very good beignets that were sweet and deliciously decadent.
On the bad side: I'm now terribly, terribly ill. I can't eat that much sugar. They were just heaped with powdered sugar and...oy.
So, it's been rather an up and down couple of days. I'm hoping a marathon of viewing various Jane Austen adaptations will put me back solidly on the 'good' side!

My mum says the ones we had tasted much different from real New Orleans beignets, but I've never been there so I wouldn't know!
