Jun. 2nd, 2003 07:26 pmBusy, busy, last couple of weeks. Have barely been online at all. Am hopelessly behind on my friends page. *sigh*
Well, on top of many other things, I have been asked to design and make costumes for some sort of thing in August at some park or something where they will be having a booth about the Women's Suffrage movement. Of course, this is MY ERA, so this would be a lovely, fun, piece of cake...
EXCEPT no one will give me ANY details! ARG!
I have no idea if there will be people giving us fabric for such things, or if I'll have to use my own, in which case, will I be paid? How many people will there be needing costumes, and what sizes do they need? Not to mention that people keep saying "what the suffragettes would have worn, you know, in the 1920s!" EXCEPT there were no suffragettes in the twenties, because we already got the the vote in 1920! The height of the Suffrage Movement was the 1900s and 1910s! Which causes me to wonder what these people think they're doing having a booth at some fair thingie about the Suffrage Movement when they don't know what the HECK they're talking about! AHHHH!
But in OTHER news...hahaha...*sigh*...I am working steadily on the French story, which has now got a working title, "All That Glitters", which doesn't really make sense till later, but it was the only fitting title I could find that didn't immediatly give everything away. I hope hope hope I finish the darn thing. It's so hard not to get distracted by other stories. I've got maybe five others started, but I'm trying to put them aside for now. *laughs* We'll see how long that lasts for the girl with no willpower.
We currently have chocolate cake chunk fudge ice cream sitting in the freezer. So dangerous for girls with no willpower. But I like to live dangerously! Muahahaha! <-- I lead a very boring life when eating ice cream is living dangerously. LOL.
