Oct. 27th, 2008 07:30 pmUgh. I'm so sick. Unfortunatley, that sore throat developed into a very bad cold, and my sinuses are so painful I've got to take a Tylenol every few hours. So my birthday was a bit of a disaster; not only was I starting to feel quite ill, but I'd finally made up my mind to go order Samantha's Middy Outfit from American Girl.com, but they were sold out. 22 years they had this thing available, and ON THE VERY DAY I'm finally going to go and get it, it's gone. Forever. And literally it was that day, because the day before I looked at the website and it was available. I could just spit. Whatever idiot decided to discontinue Samantha should just... I don't know, be force-fed rancid shrimp or something. Because they are big fat meanies. (I'm sick, so I'm going to be childish about this. Maybe I'll write Pleasant Company an angry letter. Teehee.) Even the Culver's sundae was ruined, as there was a hair in it that wasn't mine. (Eeeew!) I think when I get over this cold I'm going to pick a make-up day for my birthday. Ugh!
Needless to say, the medieval dress sits in a heap for the moment, since I'm far too tired to sew. So much for best laid plans!
On the upside, The Music Man original Broadway cast album has yielded hidden treasure in a lovely number called 'My White Knight' sung by the lovely Barbara Cook. Almost makes you forget how horrible you feel...*sigh*
