Nov. 4th, 2008 05:29 pmOkay, I'm officially astounded. Today was the first time in my life I was in and out of a polling place in under five minutes. I kid you not. For a presidential election, no less. Last time I voted in a primary there were lines out the door and a good 20 minutes of standing around waiting. Today, there were maybe three people there. I'm thinking it has to do with going before 5 0'clock. Note to self for future elections: go early!
And OMG I missed half of the first figure skating event of the season! But what's more troubling still, the next event that's going to be televised on national television is NATIONALS in JANUARY. WTF?? What about the rest of the grand prix season? And Europeans and stuff? They made no mention of those at all (or Worlds, for that matter!). I hope ESPN is still airing them, otherwise I'm going to have to write lots of Strongly Worded Letters! Forget politics people, we need figure skating in 08! (But seriously, everybody go vote if you haven't yet, it's important!)
